Ingredients (Makes 40-50 biscuits)
- 250 g softened butter
- 1 cup soft brown sugar
- 1 cup golden syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 3 cups sifted plain flour
- 1 tbsp REA Superfoods Ginger powder
Preheat oven to 180 degress C and prepare two baking trays with non-stick paper.
Stir butter, sugar, golden syrup, cinnamon and ginger powder in a pot over medium heat until sugar has dissolved and mixture is near boiling. Then remove from the heat. Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the hot water and add to the butter mixture. Add the flour and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.
Roll into 4cm round balls and arrange on baking trays leaving about 10cm between each ball as they will spread as they bake.
Bake for 10 – 15 minutes, remove and allow to cool on the tray.
Store in an airtight container.
